Armagnac is exclusively made from grape juice.
Armagnac is produced in France in the regions of Gers, Landes and Lot-et-Garonne located in Gascony. These three regions form a triangle, close to the cities of Bordeaux, Toulouse and Pau, that region was demarcated by French law decree in May 1909, which assigned the designation "Appellation Controllés Armagnac."
Armanhaque is manufactured exclusively with white wines of the vine varieties Folle Blanch, Saint-Emilion, Jurançon and Columbard, grafted on American strains.
This drink has a distillation, made in own stills, of a continuous system (patent-still) and regulated in order to obtain a product with alcoholic graduation of 52º.
Aging takes place in oak casks, where the graduation of 52º lowers near 40º.
