Red wine is the beverage resulting from the fermentation of juice or must extracted from black or red grapes in which it is imperative that maceration of the husks in the wort is given in order to attribute color and flavor to the beverage.
The pulp of the fruit, both of the white grape and the black grape is clear, when pressed this pulp gives rise to a cloudy juice considered "white". The color of the wine is obtained according to the way the grape skin is used. To make red wine it is necessary that the barks of the black grapes rest in the must, which is called maceration. The intensity of color in red wine depends on two factors, first the type of grape used in its manufacture and the time of maceration of the bark in the must.
